The Opportunity
What You’ll Do
Global Service Operations & Execution
• Ensure reliable execution of high-volume identity processes such as access requests, provisioning, and recertification.
• Act as primary escalation point for operational issues.
• Drive service health, uptime, and performance across identity platforms.
Identity Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Support audit activities and ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure alignment with security policies and control frameworks.
• Partner with auditors and compliance stakeholders.
Platform Operations & Tooling
• Enhance or develop IAM integrations with ServiceNow.
• Maintain stability while supporting modernization efforts.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
• Implement automation to reduce manual effort.
• Develop metrics and operational dashboards.
People Leadership & Regional Delivery
• Manage workload prioritization and resource planning.
• Partner with management peers and help the team work across towers to achieve goals.
Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment
• Support application onboarding and lifecycle management.
• Provide operational reporting and insights to leadership.
Requirements
• 10+ years in IT with experience in IAM or related areas.
• Minimum of 5+ years implementing and supporting enterprise IAM solutions or related/similar environments including Active Directory, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud / IIQ, BeyondTrust Password Safe / Privileged Remote Access, and Entra ID.
• Minimum of 5+ years developing technical strategies, architecture, and roadmaps.
• 5+ years of leading global operations teams.
• Understanding of audit and compliance requirements and processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, mentoring/development, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g., validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) is preferred.
• Strong ability to know your audience and structure communication and presentations to Abbott application owners and senior leadership on aspects of complex technical scenarios while maintaining appropriate functional and technical level for the audience.
• Experience working in a matrix global organization with strategic sourcing partners where success requires broad orchestration of resources and services.
• Support business and technology strategy and planning by leveraging knowledge in both technical and business areas.
• Assess issues/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution.
• Able to articulate vision and strategy for complex and innovative technical undertakings.
• Able to deal with ambiguity and make expert judgments in situations where no precedent exists.
• Experience with advanced IAM reporting leveraging Microsoft SQL, Power BI, etc.
