Position: Airport Cleaner

Msuez Uk is a leading facilities management company that provides a range of services to various industries, including aviation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Airport Cleaner to join our team at the Cape Town International Airport in South Africa.
Position Overview:
As an Airport Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the airport facilities, including the terminal, restrooms, lounges, and other common areas. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for all passengers and airport staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all designated areas of the airport, including restrooms, lounges, waiting areas, and other common spaces
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and empty trash bins regularly
- Clean and disinfect restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, and countertops
- Restock restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and other surfaces
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including tables, chairs, and countertops
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for all airport visitors
- Assist with special cleaning projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Contract Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The work schedule will be determined by the airport's operating hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
