We are seeking a Senior Program Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of new water heater OEM program delivered in partnership with strategic customers and external partners. This role will coordinate product requirements, engineering deliverables, new-model setup, bill-of-material release, validation, and manufacturing readiness from concept through production launch. The ideal candidate will combine a strong engineering background with effective program-execution skills. This individual will work closely with customers, strategic partners, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure products meet technical, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.Position

Essential Responsibilities:
Support new product programs from initial requirements through design, validation, production readiness, and launch.
Coordinate with customers and strategic partners to understand, document, and align product requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Translate customer requirements into clear engineering deliverables and product-development plans.
Coordinate the creation, review, and release of new models, bills of material, engineering drawings, specifications, and product documentation.
Ensure model configurations, component selections, and bills of material accurately reflect approved product requirements.
Work with design engineering and strategic partners to track technical deliverables, open issues, design changes, and milestone completion.
Coordinate design decisions with manufacturing to ensure products are manufacturable, cost effective, and ready for production.
Support prototype builds, engineering builds, pilot runs, validation testing, certification activities, and production launches.
Partner with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, service, product management, and supply-chain teams to resolve program issues and maintain execution timing.
Develop and maintain program schedules, action plans, technical deliverables, and risk-mitigation plans.
Lead regular cross-functional and partner program reviews to communicate status, decisions, risks, and required actions.
Manage engineering changes and evaluate their impact on product requirements, cost, tooling, validation, manufacturing, and launch timing.
Support supplier and component-development activities, including technical reviews, qualifications, and issue resolution.
Identify program risks early and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and external partners.
Support post-launch issue resolution and continuous improvement activities related to product design, quality, and manufacturing performance.
Maintain accurate program documentation and ensure decisions, requirements, and approvals are clearly recorded.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in engineering, product development, or technical program execution
Experience supporting new products from requirements definition through production launch
Experience coordinating engineering activities with customers, suppliers, or strategic development partners
Experience creating, reviewing, or releasing bills of material, engineering drawings, specifications, and model configurations
Strong understanding of engineering change control, product lifecycle management, and configuration management
Ability to translate customer and business requirements into actionable technical deliverables
Experience working with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support design decisions and production readiness
Strong program planning, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, track detailed deliverables, and drive timely issue resolution
Ability to influence internal and external teams without direct authority
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate engineering documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in water heating, HVAC, appliances or another engineering-product industry
Experience with strategic partnerships, customer-specific products, white-label products, or externally developed product platforms
Experience using product lifecycle management, enterprise resource planning, and CAD systems
Familiarity with stage-gate product-development processes and new product introduction
Experience supporting factory builds, pilot production, certification, and launch-readiness reviews
Experience working with domestic or global manufacturing and supplier partners
