Lead Market Development

 

Key Responsibilities

Budget Management & Financial Stewardship

• Manage and oversee local marketing investments across multiple budgets, funding sources, and market initiatives.
• Develop and maintain budget forecasts, spend tracking, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal accountability.
• Monitor budget utilization and proactively recommend reallocations to maximize market performance and business outcomes.
• Ensure expenditures align with strategic priorities, approved business plans, and corporate financial guidelines.
• Partner with finance teams on month-end, quarter-end, and year-end budget reconciliation activities.

Vendor & Invoice Management

• Oversee the end-to-end invoice process, ensuring timely submission, approval, and payment of vendor invoices.
• Manage relationships with agency partners, production vendors, event suppliers, and local marketing providers.
• Ensure all vendors maintain approved supplier status and comply with procurement and contracting requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related escalations, issue resolution, and process improvements.
• Partner with sourcing, procurement, and finance teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Market Support & Execution

• Partner with Market Development leaders and local market teams to support marketing initiatives, sponsorships, events, and customer acquisition programs.
• Coordinate production activities related to local market events and marketing campaigns.
• Ensure operational readiness and execution excellence across all locally supported programs.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Market Development leadership and local reporting teams to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable reporting.
• Develop and maintain ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and executive-level views to track initiative performance, progress, and outcomes.
• Support planning and delivery of market-specific marketing strategies that drive growth and customer engagement.

Performance Analysis & Strategic Optimization

• Track and analyze key performance indicators including marketing spend effectiveness, close rates, customer acquisition, event outcomes, and greenfield penetration performance.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and business reviews highlighting investment performance and growth opportunities.
• Provide recommendations on resource allocation and investment strategies to improve efficiency and business results.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within local markets and recommend actions to optimize performance.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Serve as a trusted advisor to Market Development leaders on budget planning, investment decisions, and operational execution.
• Collaborate across Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Retail Operations, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery of business objectives.
• Drive cross-functional coordination to remove barriers, improve processes, and enhance operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Operations, or related field.
• Experience managing complex budgets and financial reporting.
• Experience with vendor management, invoice processing, procurement, or contract administration.
• Strong analytical,        and financial management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 tools SQL, Python, etc
