We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Category Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the strategic execution and commercial health of our CLIF brand across the Mondelēz Europe (MEU) region. This critical role will be instrumental in leading our commercial planning processes, embedding analytical and category-led thinking, and driving efficient and effective IBP processes. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and collaborative leader with a proven track record in category management, commercial governance, and strategic planning, ready to contribute significantly to CLIF's future success.
How you will contribute
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category growth models to inform strategic decisions, drive market share expansion, and enhance CLIF's category presence.
- Deploying the CLIF brand's regional sales strategy across the MEU, ensuring strategic coherence and implementation through robust governance frameworks.
- Serve as the SMAP (Sales & Marketing Activity Plan) process owner for CLIF, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and cross-functional alignment.
- Lead and execute range reviews, leveraging consumer and market insights to optimize product assortment and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensures the sufficiency and efficiency of the 6–18-month commercial horizon for the CLIF brand across MEU.
- Act as the Commercial Governance and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process lead for CLIF, driving alignment and effective execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in sales revenue planning, category development, and corporate account management to achieve business objectives.
What you will bring
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective category growth models and conduct comprehensive category analysis.
- Experience in deploying and governing sales strategies across multiple channels/markets
- Ability to communicate strategically and effectively across remote teams and functions (e.g., UK, Germany) in an open, honest, transparent, and authentic way.
- High level of ownership for actions, behaviors, and contributions while inspiring and motivating self and others.
- Strong commercial business acumen, with solid commercial experience (5+ years) specifically in commercial planning, governance, and/or category management.
- Proven expertise in leading and owning key commercial processes such as IBP and SMAP.
- Cross-functional experience in areas such as sales revenue planning and category development is highly preferred.
