POSITION: Staff Dentist

DEPARTMENT: Dental Health Services

LOCATION: 1575 Blue Hill Avenue, Boston, MA

REPORTS TO: Dental Director

TYPE: Full or Part Time: Experienced

SALARY: Negotiable

SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Dental Director, provides dental care to patients by diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth and gums. The incumbent will perform high quality dental services and maintain efficiency.

Responsibilities

90%General and Specialized Dentistry Services. 

• Examine patient’s teeth and surrounding head and neck 
• Formulates treatment plan and documents all medications, treatment, diagnosis and consultation 
• Performs dental health services for adults and children.
• Performs various restorative and therapeutic procedures such as endodontic and periodontal therapies, surgical procedures, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, etc. to restore dental health – implants a plus .
• Educate patients to maintain proper oral health.
• Provides functional supervision of dental assistants, hygienists, new staff, residents and student externs
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned

10% General and Specialized Dentistry Services. 

• Maintain patient records, attend and participate in various staff and committee meetings.
• Work with Clinical Operations Team to ensure efficient patient flow, patient satisfaction, internal and external patient referrals.

Requirements

Position requires successful completion of certified academic program in dentistry and current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Position requires a minimum of one (1) year of general dental experience. One (1) year of activities and credit hours must be obtained in accordance with the requirements of the Board of Registration of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. One (1) year of activities must include at least one annual course in Dental Office Management.
