RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide reception support, including greeting visitors, answering phones, directing calls, and assisting with desk coverage as needed.
- Prepare and process mailings for attorneys, including routine correspondence, certified mail, large mailings, and other outgoing materials.
- Assist with copying, scanning, printing, organizing, and distributing documents and files.
- Assist with records, file closings, retention, etc.
- Provide backup coverage for legal assistants during vacations, absences, or times of increased workload.
- Assist attorneys and legal assistants with simple drafting, formatting, proofreading, and preparation of routine documents and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling client, firm, and case related information.
- Support general office operations, including filing, supply organization, errands within the office, and other administrative tasks.
- Help with overflow work wherever needed to support attorneys, staff, and overall office workflow.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
SKILLS:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate with clients, attorneys and staff in a courteous manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to learn multiple firm systems in a timely fashion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Office experience preferred.
