Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Screening in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, where you will help monitor access, screen visitors and/or staff, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine security-related duties, and contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or delivery items at designated entry points while following post instructions and documenting screening-related activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and reporting concerns involving restricted areas or sensitive spaces.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
