Are you ready for what’s next?

Come explore opportunities within Brunswick, a global marine leader committed to challenging conventions and innovating next-generation technologies that transform experiences on the water and beyond.  Brunswick believes “Next Never Rests™,” and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation.

Innovation is the heart of Brunswick. See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:

Position Overview:

As part of the talented Plant 17 Engineering team, you will play a hands-on, high-impact role in Mercury’s aluminum foundry, owning a dedicated family of castings from melt to finished part. This role is ideal for an engineer early in their career who wants to work directly on the shop floor, apply engineering fundamentals in a real manufacturing environment, and see your ideas turn into castings that meet and exceed customer expectations. You will partner closely with operators, tooling, quality, and downstream teams to improve processes, solve production challenges, and support new program launches in a fast-paced, high-volume foundry.

At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide hands-on technical engineering support across the full metal casting process, from melt, cast, finishing to downstream operations.
  • Develop technical ownership as the subject matter expert for a defined family of castings
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving casting quality, extending tool life, increasing trimming and finishing efficiency, reducing cost, and improving safety.
  • Support new casting program launches by providing DFM input and collaborating with tooling, simulation, and project management teams.
  • Maintain tool maintenance and part quality records to support troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and long-term process stability.
  • Understand and improve how casting quality impacts downstream operations such as trimming, machining, leak testing, and painting.
  • Read and interpret casting and machining prints, tolerances, and CMM reports.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the PPAP process, supporting documentation, validation, and customer requirements.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with 3D CAD software
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a foundry environment
  • Ability to analyze process data to identify issues, support troubleshooting, and drive improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint, and Planner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in a high-production metal casting environment

Working Conditions:

  • This position works in a Foundry environment
