Position Overview

The Head of Program Management leads the Program Management function at the College Station, Texas site and is accountable for delivering customer programs from contract signature through program closure. This role combines ownership of program performance and customer experience with leadership of the site’s Program Management team.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure our programs are appropriately resourced, governed, and delivered against customer commitments, financial objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish clear internal and customer governance, maintain transparent performance reporting, and drive the timely resolution and escalation of risks and issues.
  • Elevate customer experience through consistent, responsive, and high-quality engagement across the program lifecycle.
  • Build and develop a high-performing Program Management team by setting clear expectations, coaching team members, strengthening capabilities, and fostering ownership and accountability.
  • Partner with Commercial during early customer engagement and support the development of strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Provide the Site Leadership Team and the Global Program Management team with clear visibility of program performance and contribute to site planning, S&OP, tier meetings, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with site and global functions to align priorities, improve execution, share best practices, and continuously strengthen Program Management processes.
  • Ensure the function operates in compliance with applicable cGMP, quality, regulatory, legal, environmental, health and safety, and internal policy requirements.

  • Remain composed under pressure, maintain focus on the highest priorities, and bring a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, chemical engineering, science, or a related field with at least 12 years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with at least 10 years; or a Ph.D. with at least 7 years.
  • Significant Program or Project Management experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a biopharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing Organization and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, CMC, cGMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing, leading, and transforming teams.
  • Proven experience with transformational change management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex customer programs, including governance, financial and contractual oversight, risk management, prioritization, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and operational performance improvement is preferred.
  • Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred; certification a plus.
