About the Role
We are looking for an AI Software Engineer with experience in software testing and automation and hands-on exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows. You should be comfortable using tools such as Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools to speed up development, testing, debugging, and documentation — while applying engineering judgment to verify correctness and production readiness.
This role involves working on unfamiliar codebases, diagnosing complex issues, improving test coverage, and supporting production systems. We are looking for someone who can independently investigate problems, validate fixes, and take ownership of reliability and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks and improve regression coverage
- Use AI tools for code analysis, test generation, refactoring, and documentation, and verify all outputs before shipping
- Investigate production issues using logs, traces, metrics, and reproductions
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to resolve defects and improve system reliability
- Maintain clear test reports, troubleshooting notes, and technical documentation
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in QA Automation, Test Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, API testing, regression testing, and defect management
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Postman
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with REST APIs, Git, and version control workflows
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, etc.) and their use in engineering workflows
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and own issues through resolution
Good to Have
- Exposure to LLM integrations, RAG, or AI-powered applications
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other databases
- Basic scripting or automation using Python APIs

We value engineers who can balance automation with manual verification, debug systems methodically, and take ownership of problems rather than waiting for detailed instructions. The right candidate is comfortable with AI tools, but not dependent on them.
