This role opens opportunities for candidates based in Melbourne or Sydney.
Drive enterprise revenue growth across Australia's private healthcare sector by helping healthcare organisations modernise customer and patient engagement, improve service experiences, and unlock greater value from their customer experience technology investments. As a Senior Account Executive focused on the private healthcare vertical, you will own complex opportunities across new and existing customers, connecting business priorities with Genesys Cloud, AI, automation, and customer experience solutions.
You will manage the end-to-end sales cycle across direct and partner-led opportunities, developing relationships with senior stakeholders and aligning commercial, technical, legal, and channel teams around customer outcomes. Your focus on private healthcare will enable you to build deep knowledge of the sector's business challenges, customer and patient experience priorities, and technology requirements, allowing you to shape relevant solutions that support measurable business value.
Success in this role requires strong enterprise software sales experience, commercial judgment, disciplined opportunity management, and the ability to become a trusted advisor to customers and partners. You will influence strategy across your assigned private healthcare accounts while balancing new business acquisition, customer retention, and expansion.
The role provides exposure to strategic enterprise initiatives, senior healthcare leaders, and emerging capabilities across cloud, AI, automation, and customer experience. You will deepen your private healthcare industry expertise and strategic selling capability while helping organisations create more effective and empathetic customer and patient experiences at scale.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, the primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle across a portfolio of private healthcare prospects, customers, and opportunities, driving sustainable revenue growth through direct and partner-led sales.
- Develop strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across private healthcare organisations, becoming a trusted advisor who connects business priorities with Genesys solutions and measurable customer outcomes.
- Drive new business development within the private healthcare vertical through targeted prospecting, qualification, account planning, and value-based selling of cloud, AI, automation, contact centre, and customer experience solutions
- Expand existing customer relationships by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities that increase adoption and strengthen the value customers realise from Genesys.
- Lead compelling one-to-one and group presentations that demonstrate how Genesys capabilities address healthcare customer and patient experience challenges and support broader business objectives.
- Build deep expertise in Australia's private healthcare sector, using market and customer insight to identify emerging challenges, prioritise opportunities, and maximise revenue potential.
- Influence account and opportunity strategy by partnering with channel partners and internal teams across solution consulting, legal, customer success, and other functions.
- Manage channel partner relationships to develop joint opportunities, strengthen market coverage, and create scalable routes to revenue growth.
- Apply modern sales methodologies, social selling, predictive analytics, and data-driven insights to improve pipeline development, opportunity progression, and sales performance.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, account, forecast, and pipeline information in Salesforce, enabling effective business planning and revenue visibility.
- Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate contract execution with customers and the legal team, balancing customer objectives with sustainable business outcomes.
- Drive proactive opportunity development by identifying customer needs, navigating objections, introducing new ideas, and maintaining momentum across complex enterprise buying cycles.
You’ll Bring:
- 8+ years of relevant business-to-business sales experience, with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding established goals.
- Demonstrated success managing complex enterprise sales cycles and developing relationships across multiple levels of customer organisations.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven capability in negotiation, objection handling, opportunity strategy, and value-based selling
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business while growing and retaining relationships with existing customers.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working across sales, technical, partner, legal, and customer-facing teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage and influence senior customer stakeholders.
- Strong time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and workstreams simultaneously.
- Resourceful and proactive approach to navigating barriers, resolving customer concerns, and progressing complex opportunities.
- Legal authorisation to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling enterprise software, cloud platforms, contact centre, CRM, customer experience, AI, or automation solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working with channel partners and combining direct and indirect sales strategies.
- Experience selling to, working with, or developing relationships within Australia's private healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of private healthcare business priorities, customer and patient experience challenges, and technology transformation initiatives
