Description
Eaton’s EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division division is currently seeking a Production Scheduler. This role is onsite at our Horseheads, NY facility. Relocation is not provided.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
## What you’ll do:
The Production Planner is functionally responsible for the planning of components and sub-assemblies of orders scheduled for the month, in support of the plant’s production requirements. The Production Planner will lead the materials planning for scheduling sub-assembly function. Primary interface between master scheduler and production and ensures delivery schedule achievement.
In this role you will:
- Ensure compliance with Safety Guidelines, Policy defined by EHS, including but not limited to: use of PPE and Reporting immediately any safety accident, safety incident or observation.
- Collaborate with Master Scheduler, Material Ops Manager, Network Scheduler and Production Manager to achieve customer satisfaction as well as plant goals.
- Ensure sub-assembly components and resources are planned to meet the master production schedule requirements.
- Validate capacity availability per plant SIOP requirements.
- Communicate to leadership of issues constraining performance and recommend possible solutions.
- Monitor transactions in the sub-assembly area and report on or take action swiftly on items that are obstacles to production efficiency: including observations regarding hourly staffing, materials and equipment availability
- Maintain data integrity in Oracle to reflect changes in manufacturing parameters, including information to support make-buy/buy-make conversions as needed.
- For manufactured parts, support inventory guidelines ensuring that kanban calculations and Safety Stock levels are performed with accurate, timely data to calculate stocking levels.
- Evaluate effectiveness of existing procedures to recommend improvement.
- Attend meetings as required; prepared to contribute with data and information
- Analyze MRP reports for execution and recommend actions.
- Kit flow by day: Shortage tracking and reporting
- Working knowledge of Master Scheduling function and position requirements
- Ensure compliance with plant rules and policy (Quality, Finance, Safety as noted above)
## Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing production, scheduling, or planning.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Oracle and SharePoint.
