About the Role:
As a Senior Research Analyst I, you will cover chemical markets and provide market updates for weekly and monthly reports. You will actively pursue and develop unique analytical approaches that provide values to prospective and existing clients. You will also contribute to long-term projects (i.e. cost studies) related to chemical products. You will report to the Executive Director - Research and Analysis.
You Will:
- Maintain and develop knowledge of state-of-the-art industry processes for specific product chains
- Discover prices through industry contacts; maintain short term and long term price forecasts
- Maintain capacity and supply and demand data
- Provide necessary support to consultants for Aromatics World Analyses as required
- Keep consultants informed of latest news or press releases related to their products
- Answer or direct client questions relating to Aromatics World Analyses as required
- Assist Consulting practice by triaging client website inquiries, maintained and debugged economic models, and developed client presentations to support consulting deliverables.
- Perform presentations for clients both in our offices and onsite
You Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience
- General understanding of Chemical industry
- A conceptual understanding of how economics and politics influence regional and global markets
- Microsoft Office expertise
- Previous experience using analytical skills or business analyst experience (preferred)
- Experience in customer-facing roles (preferred)
- Previous work experience in a Petrochemicals company (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline (preferred) -OR- MBA (strong plus) - OR- equivalent work experience

Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000
