Finance & Operations AnalystJob Description:
The Operations & Finance Analyst supports the effective delivery of financial, operational and governance processes across the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) contract. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, supporting supplier and stakeholder relationships, maintaining product catalogue governance and delivering operational analysis to identify trends, resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Working across multiple business functions, the postholder will investigate and resolve complex operational and financial queries, support reconciliation and audit activities, provide management information and performance insights, and contribute to the development of efficient, compliant and customer-focused processes.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of financial and operational activities across the DSA contract.
Investigate and resolve financial, invoicing and operational queries.
Perform financial validation, reconciliation and audit support activities.
Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, issues and improvement opportunities.
Produce management information, reporting and performance insights.
Support supplier management activities, governance forums and stakeholder engagement.
Maintain product catalogue accuracy and support associated governance processes.
Contribute to the development, review and implementation of operational procedures and controls.
Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, compliance and efficiency.
About You
Essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Experience working within a financial, operational or administrative environment.
Previous experience of working in a finance administration role or a regulated enviorment
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Desirable
Experience of invoice management, reconciliation or financial controls.
Experience of supplier or stakeholder management.
Knowledge of governance, audit or compliance processes.
Experience using Salesforce or similar case management systems.
Experience producing reports, dashboards or management information.
Experience of continuous improvement or process review activities.
