Description
This position is responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. * Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour
* Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
* Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
* Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
* Assesses, provides feedback,and returns students work in a timely manner
* Informs students regarding his/her grades and progress in the course
Creates course content meeting college accessibility guidelines
Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction
Assists the Program Director with recruitment of students into the program
Maintains communications and keeps Program Director informed
Constructs classroom materials that support the outcomes of the course
Maintains regular office hours
Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching
Serves on college or department committees as needed
Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate
Stays abreast of most current teaching methods and technology in the classroom
Establishes goals and objectives for the course
Assists with selecting texts and constructing the syllabi
Participate in graduation exercises

Ability to instruct seated and online classes
Able to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning
Ability to apply clear grading rubrics and criteria consistently online
Qualified to evaluate content accuracy, critical thinking, and proper application of concepts
Aptitude to learn ERP systems such as SAP

Exhibit good interpersonal skills and works well with others
Able to maintain records accurately and meet deadlines consistently
Demonstrate good organizational skills
Competent with technology and software, including computers and web-based resources such as Blackboard and Canvas Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Exhibit excellent problem-solving communication skills both written and verbal
Capacity to demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Two years of industry, secondary, post-secondary, technical instructional or training experience
Proficient computer skills using functions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
3–5 years of industry-specific experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations, such as logistics and transportation, warehousing and distribution, procurement, inventory and demand planning, and lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, kaizen, Six Sigma), including hands-on use of ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS)

Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Three or more years community college teaching experience
Online teaching experience
Over five years work experience in logistics and/or supply chain management
Project management experience and/or PMI certification
Involvement in professional logistics and/or supply chain management organizations
ASCM (APICS), CSCMP, ISM, or WERC certification
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
