Job Summary
The Host welcomes guests and manages seating arrangements to ensure efficient table rotation and guest satisfaction. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage the waiting list.
- Provide menus and answer initial guest questions.
- Seat guests according to table availability and rotation.
- Respond to guest concerns and coordinate with staff to resolve issues.
- Answer phone calls and take reservations.
- Assist servers with running food/drinks/ pre bussing
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand and entrance area.
- Assist with other restaurant duties as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have valid food handler’s card
- Must have valid TABC certification
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift trays as needed.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
