The After School Care Assistant Teacher will help support the day-to-day operations of the after-school program including activities, arts and crafts, games, educational programs, and homework.

Responsibilities
- Helps with the daily operations of the after-school program.
- Assists with activities such as homework, games, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
- Enforces all YMCA childcare rules and regulations and ensures safety in the facilities.
- Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other children.
- Reports camper complaints to leadership and helps to resolve the issues.
- Supervises and interacts with children.
- Assists in organization of age-appropriate activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
- Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR/First Aid*
- Must be willing to be trained in bussing
*Note: If not currently certified, must obtain certification within 30 days of hire. The * noted certification training programs are provided by the YMCA of the Pueblo.
