Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting the installation of a wide range of electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations.
- Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Maintain and service generators, high-voltage (HT) and low-voltage (LT) motors, transformers, starters, switchgear, and associated electrical systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
Qualifications:
- Technical Secondary School Certificate or Certificate Course in Electrical Engineering up to OND (Ordinary National Diploma) level.
- Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in electrical mainframe installation and maintenance within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance procedures, systems, and applications.
- Experience working with generators, HT/LT motors, transformers, starters, and related electrical equipment.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
