Description
- Service Calls: Respond to service calls from residential clients promptly and professionally. Diagnose and repair electrical issues, such as faulty wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and fixtures in homes.
- Quality Control Checks: Perform thorough quality control checks on completed electrical installations to ensure they meet our high standards and comply with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Hot Checks: Conduct hot checks to identify and resolve electrical issues that could lead to safety hazards, including overheating circuits or wiring problems.
- Installation and Wiring: Safely install, wire, and connect electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects in residential settings.
- Customer Service: Communicate with customers to assess their electrical needs, provide recommendations, and address any questions or concerns.
- Safety: Prioritize safety at all times and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Generator Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain residential generators, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.
Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Generator installation and maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Reliable and strong work ethic.
- Own basic hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of (or enrollment in) a state-recognized electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in residential electrical work, construction, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and work on ladders up to 28 feet in height.
- Must be able to work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and roofs.
- Must have the ability to use hands and arms to handle tools and perform repetitive tasks.
