Job Description

As a Security Guard Medical Facility Access Control in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate campus personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with campus stakeholders and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
