Social Media Strategist

Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, strategic and results-driven Social Media Strategist / Digital Marketing & Content Lead to build and grow the company's online brand presence from the ground up.
The ideal candidate must be able to independently develop marketing strategies, create engaging content, manage social media platforms and drive brand awareness, audience engagement and business growth.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of the entire digital marketing process, from planning and content creation to execution, performance analysis and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Planning
• Develop and implement comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategies.
• Establish the company's online brand positioning and content direction from scratch.
• Identify suitable social media platforms based on business objectives and target audiences.
• Plan and manage monthly content calendars, campaigns and marketing activities.
• Independently manage social media accounts and overall content strategy.
2. Creative Content Development
• Conceptualise, create and execute original and engaging content across social media platforms.
• Develop creative content ideas that align with the company's brand identity and business objectives.
• Write compelling captions, marketing copy and storytelling content.
• Plan, shoot, edit and produce short-form videos, promotional materials and other digital content.
• Continuously explore innovative content formats and marketing trends to improve audience engagement.
3. Social Media Growth & Performance
• Build and grow the company's social media presence, followers, reach and engagement organically.
• Develop strategies to attract relevant target audiences and potential customers.
• Monitor social media performance and analyse key metrics.
• Identify successful content strategies and continuously optimise marketing performance.
• Stay updated on social media algorithms, trends and platform developments.
4. Branding & Digital Marketing
• Establish and strengthen the company's online brand identity and visibility.
• Develop marketing campaigns, promotional activities and brand awareness initiatives.
• Create strategies to build audience trust and brand recognition.
• Convert social media traffic and engagement into potential leads and business opportunities.
• Work closely with internal teams to align marketing activities with business goals.
Requirements
• Proven experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, content marketing or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build and grow social media accounts or brands from scratch.
• Strong creative thinking, content ideation and storytelling skills.
• Hands-on experience in content planning, video production, editing and social media management.
• Good understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviour and digital marketing trends.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and improve strategies.
• Able to work independently, take initiative and manage projects from concept to execution.
• A proactive individual who brings new ideas rather than simply following instructions.
