DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Key Account Manager, located in Norderstedt, Germany.
We’re looking for a collaborative leader with strong character—someone who takes ownership, brings fresh ideas, and turns strategy into results. As Key Account Manager you will manage and grow strategic hospital and clinic relationships, drive adoption of our orthopedic solutions, and partner across functions to deliver clinical and commercial impact.
Key responsibilities
Own and develop a portfolio of strategic accounts (hospitals, clinic groups, key opinion leaders) in your assigned region.
Build and execute account plans that align clinical, commercial, and product strategies to achieve sales and share goals.
Lead product launches and adoption programs at account level; coordinate clinical training, surgeon education, and OR support.
Drive tender and contract negotiations in collaboration with Sales Operations and Legal.
Monitor account performance, deliver accurate forecasts, and report progress to Sales Leadership.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Reimbursement, and Field Service to ensure seamless customer experience.
Use CRM to manage opportunities, activities, and account documentation.
Represent DePuy Synthes at meetings, conferences, and customer events; travel within the region as required.
What you bring

Strong collaboration skills and the confidence to drive change at account and organizational levels.
Experience & functional expertise
Several years of experience in orthopedics or related medical device sales (approx. 3–5 years or more).
Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and meeting commercial targets.
Analytical mindset and strong business/commercial acumen.
Working style & skills
Structured, data‑driven, and goal‑oriented approach to work.
Excellent presentation and communication skills — able to engage clinical and executive stakeholders.
Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with CRM systems.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
Qualifications & role requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, business administration, or related field.
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel within assigned territory.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€90,400.00 - €156,975.00
Benefits:
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
