The Role
As Transport / Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy transport operation, ensuring vehicles, drivers and deliveries operate safely and efficiently.
You’ll be working closely with drivers, customers and the wider operations team to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily transport operation
- Supporting and motivating drivers
- Planning workloads and daily activities
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation
- Maintaining excellent customer service
- Managing vehicle and driver records
- Problem-solving operational issues as they arise
- Working closely with the yard and office teams
- Helping improve operational efficiency
- Promoting a positive working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Transport Manager CPC (TM CPC) is essential
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Calm under pressure with a proactive approach
- Good knowledge of transport compliance
- Computer literate
- Full UK driving licence
- Class 2 licence preferred, although not essential
This role would particularly suit someone moving into their first Transport Management position who already has the right attitude, experience and Transport Manager CPC qualification.

- Monday to Saturday
- Every other weekend off
- Office and yard-based in Dartford
