JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma/GED required.
Experience: Experience in a food processing or non-edible food processing environment required. Familiar with dairy processing preferred. 1-year office experience strongly preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
- Verify accuracy of Shipping Paperwork for all loads shipped in collaboration with quality and warehouse personnel.
- Print labels & pallet sheets for outgoing loads in collaboration with production and warehouse personnel.
- Assist with creating and reviewing the BOL/Shipping paperwork in AS400 for loads going to out. Back up to Administrative Assistant for external warehouse loads going out; making sure the seal number and container/trailer number are accurate. (Shared responsibility with Warehouse personnel based on workload and time of day.)
- Verify production records by reviewing the Inventory records in Infor and confirming that production was placed into the system correctly and under the correct production date and warehouse location, and in the correct quantity. Work in conjunction with Lab & Office Assistant.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits to be sure product is in the correct location.
- Distribute product photos and documentation to customers per special requirements.
- Update systems with product movement information for efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Take inventory of supplies required for production, safety, and sanitation. Back up for ordering of items inventoried.
- Ensure fundamental food safety and quality practices maintained to achieve food safety and quality objectives and to support the development, implementation and maintenance and ongoing improvements of food safety programs, as applicable to job duties.
- Back up for communicating production schedules to packaging area and reporting production attainment back to local team as well as corporate team.
- Back up for entering newly received raw material loads and results into AS400/Infor.
- Back up for reconciling inventory of raw materials, aside from permeate, on a pre-determined schedule as well as at month end.
- Back up for assembling booking details into files to organize documentation for VGMs generated by AA, when applicable.
- Back up for Allocating product in Infor to all orders needing to go out; making sure product is clear and meets the customers specifications.
- Back up for scheduling of trucks for customer order pick up.
- Back up to Administrative Assistant to create purchase orders and requisitions within Infor related for all operations departments including lab, chem & ship, and maintenance. Also serve as a backup for payment of invoices, vendor setup, and maintaining the sales/use tax database.
- Operate all necessary office equipment required to accomplish job duties; i.e., phone, calculator, fax machine, computer, and printer.
- Will serve as back-up to the Production Manager - Day Shift.
