Description
Senior Regional Property Manager - New Jersey Multifamily Portfolio
Are you the type of Regional Manager who can walk a property, immediately identify opportunities for improvement, and confidently lead teams toward stronger performance?
We are partnering with a highly entrepreneurial, vertically integrated real estate organization seeking an experienced Senior Regional Property Manager to oversee a stabilized multifamily portfolio throughout New Jersey. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a strategic operator who thrives in the field, enjoys autonomy, and knows how to translate observations into action.
The portfolio consists of five established communities that are performing well but require a strong regional leader who can evaluate operations, uncover opportunities, implement strategic improvements, and elevate overall asset performance. This is not a role for someone who needs extensive direction—the ideal candidate is a self-starter who can assess challenges, develop solutions, and execute with confidence.
Offering a compensation package of up to $200,000 plus annual bonus, this position provides the opportunity to make a measurable impact within a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
What You'll Do
Portfolio Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Provide strategic oversight for a portfolio of stabilized multifamily communities throughout New Jersey.
- Conduct regular property visits to evaluate curb appeal, maintenance standards, resident experience, operational efficiencies, and overall asset performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and partner with onsite teams to implement meaningful operational enhancements.
- Ensure properties consistently meet company standards for service, appearance, compliance, and financial performance.
Financial Performance & Asset Optimization
- Drive portfolio performance through revenue growth, expense management, occupancy optimization, and delinquency control.
- Review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports while holding onsite leadership accountable for results.
- Partner with Community Managers to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
- Identify opportunities to increase NOI through operational efficiencies, process improvements, and value-enhancing initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop Community Managers and onsite teams across the portfolio.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and high performance.
- Support recruiting, training, succession planning, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
- Ensure teams have the resources, guidance, and support necessary to achieve operational goals.
Property Operations & Capital Improvements
- Oversee maintenance operations, vendor relationships, property inspections, and capital improvement projects.
- Partner with onsite teams to address operational challenges and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Manage project execution from planning through completion, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and minimal disruption to residents.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk management, safety, and preventative maintenance practices.
Marketing & Occupancy Strategy
- Collaborate with marketing and leasing teams to maximize occupancy, rental revenue, and market positioning.
- Analyze market conditions, competitive trends, and pricing strategies to drive portfolio performance.
- Support leasing initiatives and resident retention programs that enhance overall asset value.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Regional Property Manager experience overseeing multifamily portfolios.
