  • Develop, enhance, and maintain congestion and nodal market models, tools, and processes to support system planning, operational analysis, and connection assessments.

  • Conduct risk-based, probabilistic engineering and market studies, including capability, congestion, and system performance assessments.

  • Design, prototype, and implement analytical tools and methodologies to improve forecasting, modelling, and system optimization.

  • Act as an analytics subject-matter expert, collaborating cross-functionally to support system studies through forecasting, data visualization, and actionable insights.

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on electrical engineering or analytics.

  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation and registration in good standing with APEGA (or eligibility to obtain registration).

  • 10+ years’ experience in the power industry.

  • Experience in performing statistical analysis and employing optimization techniques.

  • Experience with power flow studies.

  • Experience with Python scripting.

  • Experience with data query, maintenance, and use of databases (SQL server, Oracle).
