Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to manage the day to day running of the Domain Melbourne Office and provide support to the wider team, including the Adelaide and Perth offices. The Office Manager is a central point of contact for all office staff in relation to the physical surroundings and facilities of the office. The Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the office functions correctly and also plays a role in keeping staff connected with each other and content with their environment. The Office Manager can successfully manage and maintain the 1,500sqm of the Melbourne Office autonomously, as well as provide assistance to the Adelaide and Perth offices which don’t currently have dedicated Office Managers.
Responsibilities
The Office Manager role accounts for a number of different responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Be the main point of contact between building management and the company.
- Managing relationships with workplace services and other contractors.
- Monitoring kitchen and bathroom supplies, as well as office stationery and collateral.
- Managing reception duties including answering phones, greeting guests and coordinating incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintaining facilities such as lighting, air conditioning, electricals, etc.
- Managing a monthly social budget and organising social functions for staff.
- Track and monitor office expenses as per monthly reporting.
- Communicating with staff via Teams.
- Assist with new starters (first day set up) and conduct office tours.
- Ensuring office furniture is maintained and looked after or replaced.
- Working with the Office Experience Lead on any office changes or desk/team moves.
- Assist with room bookings and all pre-event logistics queries regarding client events in the office.
- Assist with fire warden responsibilities.
- Maintain overall functionality and tidiness of the office.
About You
- Previous experience in an admin type role required
- Able to multitask and have good organisational skills
- Great attention to detail
- People oriented and a team player
- Previous experience in an organisational/event type role favorable
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in computer use
- Tertiary or higher education preferred.
