AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including A&H, Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. How you will create an impact

• Manage the Group Accident & Health (A&H) team and lead strategies to accelerate growth and be fully accountable for P&L of the Group A&H business.
• Identify opportunities and strategies in support of growth in in Group A&H space and develop appropriate distribution solutions in country environment.
• Actively develop and maintain solid working relationships with all clients, brokers, reinsurers and other stakeholders at C-Suite level.
• Work with international brokers and facility partners to underwrite and administer Group BTA & GPA, and corporate businesses within AIG’s underwriting guidelines.
• Adhere to all underwriting procedures and compliance protocols as required.
• Liaise with administration staff, legal, claims, finance and accounting and any other services centre to ensure awareness of underwriting and business activities support standards required.
• Ensure delivery of reports and compliance tasks in timely fashion to key internal stakeholders as and when required.
• Ad-hoc special projects or requirements that may arise from time to time.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience in Group Accident & Health sales/business development/underwriting. 
• Candidates with Group Accident & Health underwriting and/or business development experience will have added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Group Accident & Health products and underwriting methodology will be vital for this role
• Proven track record in developing and strengthening relationships with intermediary e.g broker, agents, financial advisors and corporate clients to grow new business and retain renewals under an insurance portfolio.
• Good communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, analytical and multitasking skills.
• Outgoing person who is a strong team player with good management skill to motivate a team and result orientated with a customer centric mindset.
