About the role

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of BOQ Group's most important and strategically significant portfolios.

As Head of Group Deposits, you'll be accountable for the end-to-end performance of the Group Deposits business across both Retail and Business Banking, shaping the future of a portfolio that sits at the heart of BOQ Group's growth strategy. You'll lead the development and execution of the deposits strategy, driving customer growth, funding outcomes, portfolio performance and customer experience while partnering across the organisation to deliver sustainable commercial success.

Working across Product, Treasury, Finance, Marketing, Digital, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance, you'll bring together diverse teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for both customers and the business. From pricing strategy and portfolio performance through to customer acquisition, retention and product innovation, you'll have genuine enterprise-wide influence and visibility.

This role offers the rare opportunity to own a portfolio that supports almost one million customers and serves as a critical funding engine for the Group. You'll shape strategy, influence executive decision-making and lead initiatives that strengthen customer relationships while driving growth across transactional, at-call and term deposit products.

About you

You're an accomplished banking or financial services leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a genuine passion for customers. You understand how to balance growth, profitability, risk and customer outcomes, and you're energised by the opportunity to lead a complex portfolio with significant strategic importance.

You'll bring experience leading large-scale product or business portfolios and have a proven track record of translating strategy into measurable results. You're comfortable operating at executive level, influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complexity while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes. Whether it's developing portfolio strategy, driving investment decisions, optimising pricing outcomes or improving customer experiences, you know how to bring people together behind a common vision.

You're also a leader who values collaboration and knows that the best outcomes are achieved through partnership. You'll have experience working across multiple functions, building trusted relationships and leading through influence to deliver meaningful change. A strong understanding of financial services regulation, product governance, risk management and customer-centred decision making will be essential for success in this role.
