Job PurposeThe Senior Manager, Enterprise Planning & Performance Management is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of PVA's enterprise planning capability, with Anaplan as the core planning platform.
The role will act as the business owner and transformation lead for planning modernization across Finance, Distribution, Actuarial, Customer, IT and Operations functions. The incumbent will drive the transition from spreadsheet-based planning to an integrated, driver-based planning ecosystem that enhances strategic decision-making, forecasting accuracy, performance transparency, and value creation.
In addition to leading the Anaplan implementation programme, the role will establish enterprise planning standards, embed scenario-based decision-making into management processes, and build long-term organisational capability in performance management and financial planning.
Job Responsibilities
1. Lead Enterprise Planning Transformation (30%)
Accountabilities
- Serve as PVA business lead for Anaplan implementation and planning transformation programme.
- Define target operating model for planning, forecasting and performance management.
- Drive transition from fragmented Excel-based planning toward an integrated planning environment.
- Establish planning governance, planning policies and model ownership framework.
- Partner with Group Finance and Future Finance Programme stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group direction.
- Develop multi-year roadmap for enterprise planning capability.
Success Measures
- Successful delivery of Anaplan implementation roadmap.
- Increased planning efficiency and forecast accuracy.
- Reduction in manual planning effort and spreadsheet dependency.
2. Product Owner for Anaplan Platform (20%)
Accountabilities
- Act as Product Owner for the enterprise planning platform.
- Prioritize business requirements and transformation backlog.
- Lead solution design decisions across:
- Revenue Planning
- Distribution Planning
- Expense Planning
- Workforce Planning
- Capital & Profit Planning
- Scenario Management
- Ensure model architecture supports future scalability.
- Drive adoption and realization of business value post-deployment.
Success Measures
- User adoption rates.
- Capability rollout milestones.
- Stakeholder satisfaction.
3. Strategic FP&A and Driver-Based Planning (15%)
Accountabilities
- Design and institutionalize driver-based planning methodologies.
- Develop planning models linking operational drivers to financial outcomes. Examples include:
- Agent recruitment
- Agency productivity
- Banca branch productivity
- Customer growth
- Retention and persistency
- Cost efficiency
Support annual planning, rolling forecast and strategic planning exercises.
4. Scenario Modelling & Decision Support (15%)
Accountabilities
Establish enterprise scenario modelling capability to support Executive Committee decision-making.
Lead development of:
- Growth scenarios
- Productivity scenarios
- Cost optimization scenarios
- Compensation redesign scenarios
- Distribution expansion scenarios
Provide decision analytics to:
- CEO
- CFO
- EXCO
- Distribution leadership teams
Support strategic business cases and investment decisions.
5. Commercial Performance & Compensation Analytics (10%)
Accountabilities
Partner with Agency and Banca leadership teams to improve performance management capability.
Lead analytical frameworks covering:
- Distribution productivity
- Branch effectiveness
- Agency expansion
- Compensation effectiveness
- Campaign ROI
- Sales force optimization
Support compensation redesign initiatives through simulation and financial impact modelling.
6. Stakeholder Management & Change Leadership (10%)
Accountabilities
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement involving:
- Finance
- Distribution
- Customer
- Technology
- Data & Analytics
- Actuarial

- Drive change management and user adoption activities.
- Develop planning capability across business functions through training and coaching.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on planning, forecasting and business performance topics.

Scenario & Strategic Decision Support
- Delivering timely and robust scenario analysis to support Executive Committee and Board discussions.
- Enabling management to assess strategic options and make evidence-based decisions through quantitative modelling.
Business Value Realization
- Realizing measurable business benefits from Anaplan and enterprise planning investments.
- Driving adoption and utilization of planning capabilities across Finance and business functions.
- Ensuring transformation initiatives deliver tangible improvements in productivity, planning quality, and management insight.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Maintaining effective governance, controls, and ownership across planning processes.
- Building strong partnerships with business leaders, Group stakeholders, and functional teams to deliver transformation outcomes.
- Acting as the primary business representative and subject matter expert for enterprise planning and performance management initiatives.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic planning, data analysis, or other management information roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge and skill
- Strong understanding of operation of a life insurance company as well as the competitive landscape in Vietnam
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect operational drivers with financial outcomes and long-term business strategy.
