Join Hitachi Energy as a Project Management Team Lead and play a critical role in driving successful project delivery, operational excellence, and business growth. In this leadership position, you will oversee a portfolio of projects, lead and develop a team of Project Managers, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably while meeting customer expectations.
You will serve as a trusted partner to customers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams, driving performance, governance, and continuous improvement across the project organization.
How you'll make an impact
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and project professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and high performance.
Manage and oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful execution, resource optimization, risk management, and achievement of business objectives.
Drive project delivery excellence by ensuring projects are completed according to contractual commitments, quality standards, budget targets, and planned schedules.
Establish and maintain effective project governance, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Monitor project performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement lessons learned to strengthen execution capabilities and operational efficiency.
Partner with business stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation activities.
Support revenue growth by building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to commercial success within the market.
Oversee financial performance across the project portfolio, including profitability, cash flow, forecasting accuracy, and risk mitigation.
Ensure effective contract, claims, procurement, and commercial management practices are consistently applied throughout project execution.
Serve as an escalation point for complex project and customer issues, driving timely resolution and fostering long-term customer satisfaction.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable growth aligned with Hitachi Energy's strategy and values.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience leading project teams and managing complex project portfolios within engineering, energy, industrial, infrastructure, automation, or related sectors.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, risk management, contract management, and financial controls.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Strong commercial and business acumen with experience driving operational performance and profitability.
Experience managing customer relationships and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed, and multicultural organization.
Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
