About the Role: A nonprofit medical referral organization is looking for a highly organized, proactive manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its data maintenance team and help coordinate a medical information project. This person will assign and prioritize work, monitor productivity and quality, and keep the project moving toward clear milestones — a great fit for someone comfortable managing people and process in an environment where requirements are still evolving.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the data maintenance team
- Assign and prioritize work across the team
- Provide staff guidance, feedback, and accountability
- Monitor productivity and quality using reports and measurable indicators
Project Coordination
- Coordinate timelines for a medical information project
- Translate high-level objectives into clear work plans, milestones, responsibilities, and deadlines
- Coordinate multiple contributors, dependencies, and competing priorities
- Track project risks and ensure work progresses toward defined milestones
Documentation & Process
- Maintain clear documentation of workflows, decisions, responsibilities, procedures, and unresolved issues
- Apply sound judgment and thoughtful problem-solving as processes continue to evolve
- Use spreadsheets, productivity systems, and AI tools responsibly, with appropriate human review
Qualifications:
- Experience supervising or coordinating employees, assigning work, providing feedback, and maintaining accountability
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, including managing multiple contributors and competing priorities
- Ability to create and maintain clear documentation of workflows, decisions, and procedures
- Ability to monitor productivity, quality, deadlines, and project risks using reports and indicators
- Sound judgment and problem-solving ability in an evolving work environment
- Strong digital fluency, including spreadsheets, productivity systems, and responsible AI tool use
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating complex projects involving subject-matter experts, technical contributors, leadership, and operational staff
- Experience with CRM systems, Salesforce, databases, data-quality workflows, or structured information projects
- Familiarity with quality assurance, productivity tracking, spot-auditing, or process improvement
- Experience creating SOPs, project plans, decision logs, dashboards, or management reports
- Familiarity with healthcare, medical terminology, taxonomy, classification, or knowledge-management projects, along with technical literacy to communicate with database or software contributors
