About the role 

As HammondCare’s Senior Digital Business Analyst (Automation), you’ll be responsible for identifying, assessing and shaping opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve operational outcomes through automation, AI and digital solutions.

Working across care, clinical, operational and corporate functions, the role partners with business stakeholders to understand how work is performed today, identify inefficiencies and quantify opportunities to improve productivity, workforce capacity, service quality and customer outcomes.

The role acts as the primary discovery and process optimisation specialist within HammondCare's Data, AI & Analytics, providing the analysis and evidence required to support prioritisation, investment decisions and delivery planning. Working closely with the Automation Delivery Lead and technical teams, the role helps translate business opportunities into clearly defined automation initiatives that deliver measurable value.

This is a maximum term contract for 22 months based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities. 

Key Focus Areas

• AI Opportunity Discovery and Strategy: Own the automation and AI roadmap, portfolio priorities, delivery standards and investment pipeline aligned to HammondCare strategic objectives. 
• AI Solution Design and Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery from discovery through implementation, embedding sustainable governance, support, ownership and operational readiness. .
• Stakeholder Engagement and Adoption: Partner with leaders, frontline teams and subject matter experts to ensure AI solutions are trusted, adopted and embedded into day-to-day workflows.
• Responsible AI and Value Realisation: Ensure AI solutions are delivered safely, ethically and transparently, with clear measures of adoption, benefits and business value.

Key Responsibilities include

• Identify and assess opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve business outcomes through automation, AI and digital solutions.
• Analyse end-to-end business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks and optimisation opportunities.
• Quantify automation opportunities, including potential improvements in productivity, workforce capacity, service quality, compliance, customer experience and care outcomes.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement activities to understand current processes, challenges and improvement opportunities.
• Develop current-state and future-state process maps, workflow designs and business requirements to support automation initiatives.
• Gather, document and validate business, functional and non-functional requirements for automation and digital solutions.
• Partner with the Automation Delivery Lead, Machine Learning Engineers and technical teams to translate business opportunities into solution designs, delivery backlogs and implementation plans.
• Support delivery activities including requirements management, testing, business validation and implementation readiness.
• Support change management, training and adoption activities to embed new technologies and ways of working.
• Measure adoption, business outcomes and realised benefits, providing insights to support continuous improvement and future automation opportunities.

About You  

• A commitment to HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
• At least 5 year’s demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, Agile BA or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to identify and quantify manual processes, inefficiencies and opportunities for automation, including estimating potential productivity, quality, workforce capacity and customer outcome improvements.
• Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, AI-powered workflow tools or similar automation platforms.
• Understanding of automation technologies, workflow platforms, low-code solutions, artificial intelligence or generative AI capabilities and their practical application in business environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with operational, clinical, executive and technical stakeholders.

Desirable

• Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working within Agile, product-led or iterative delivery environments.
• Experience in healthcare, aged care or other highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to data analytics, process mining, business intelligence or reporting tools.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across executive, operational, clinical and technical teams.
