Assistant - Transport

The Billing Assistant is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation, verification, and submission of invoices to customers. The role supports revenue collection by validating billing information, maintaining proper documentation, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company and customer billing requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and within the agreed billing timeline.
• Verify billing details, rates, charges, supporting documents, and delivery records before invoice issuance.
• Ensure all invoices are supported by complete documentation, including PODs, delivery orders, and customer-required documents.
• Coordinate with Operations, POD, and Transport teams to resolve missing or inaccurate billing information.
• Perform billing validation to prevent revenue leakage and billing errors.
• Monitor invoice status and ensure timely submission to customers through the required channels.
• Maintain accurate billing records and filing systems for audit and reference purposes.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and customer queries promptly.
• Prepare credit notes, debit notes, and billing adjustments when required.
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure all completed transactions are billed on time.
• Generate billing reports and assist in monitoring revenue, outstanding invoices, and billing performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and audit standards.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• 100% billing accuracy with minimal billing disputes and errors.
• Timely invoice issuance according to customer and company requirements.
• No revenue leakage due to missed or incorrect billing.
• Timely submission of invoices and supporting documents.
• Zero major audit findings related to billing documentation and processes.
• Prompt resolution of billing queries and discrepancies

Fulfillment & Logistics Operations Execution includes roles that manage and execute inventory, warehouse and fulfilment activities (planning and execution, distribution is covered by carrier management). Includes all kinds of warehouses like CFS, CY, inland depot / warehouses, bonded warehouses, etc. whether owned, operated or both by Maersk.

Administrative career stream includes those who primarily support others by performing skilled technical, administrative or operational tasks. Jobs may range from highly supervised entry-level workers, technicians, and administrative staff to experienced individual contributors with robust technical or practical knowledge in specific areas, who have an ability to execute specialized work to support operations. The job requires little or no prior work experience within the functional area and the colleague is not expected to exercise independent judgment. Works under close supervision.
