Compensation: $82,000 - $95,000

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Control Specialist to provide essential support in managing and coordinating project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting activities. In this role, you will ensure that projects are executed on schedule, within scope, and within established budgets while identifying and mitigating risks. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute directly to the successful execution of critical projects at NSWC Crane. The Buyer III will support research and development efforts for Counter-Unmanned Systems (C-UxS) programs.

Responsibilities: Purchases a variety of materials, supplies and services. Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards until completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.

• Scope, Knowledge & Application: Applies substantial understanding of the job to complete job duties and responsibilities. Possesses a thorough understanding of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in area of specialization.
• Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on problems of a diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of factors. Independently selects methods and techniques to resolve a variety of complex problems.
• Collaboration & Interaction: Builds an in-depth network with personnel both within and outside of functional area.
• Degree of Supervision: Normally receives little to no instructions on routine work, and may occasionally receive general instructions on new projects or assignments. Work may be reviewed upon completion for consistence with departmental objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience or a Master's degree and 3+ years experience, or equivalent.
• Local applicants with the ability to support a hybrid role (3 days in office/2 days remote).
• Must possess an Active U.S. government SECRET security clearance. (Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.)

       

Compensation Details:

$82,000 - $95,000
