Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Develop and implement  comprehensive category management strategies across assigned spend areas, building multi-year category roadmaps that support business priorities and growth ambitions Identify and deliver value  through cost optimization, productivity improvements, demand management, supplier innovation, and process efficiencie s , leveraging market intelligence and spend analytics to identify opportunities and risks Ensure category strategies support sustainability , ESG, compliance, and overall business objectives. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing  category management organization , establishing clear objectives, performance metrics, and development plans while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Build procurement capabilities across strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and market analysis Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and functional leaders , partnering with business units to understand strategic priorities and translate them into procurement strategies Influence stakeholders to adopt procurement-led sourcing and category management approaches , facilitating alignment between procurement objectives and business requirements Lead complex sourcing initiatives and major commercial negotiations while developing strategic supplier partnerships that drive competitive advantage Ensure robust supplier performance management , governance processes , supplier innovation programs, and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor supplier financial health , capacity, and risk exposure, identifying and mitigating supply, commercial, operational, and geopolitical risks Ensure compliance with procurement  policies, regulations, and ethical sourcing standards, supporting business continuity planning and supply resilience strategies Implement governance frameworks for key supplier relationships and strategic sourcing activities Deliver annual savings and value creation targets, manage category budgets, and support overall procurement financial objectives Monitor market trends, inflation impacts, and cost drivers , providing regular reporting on procurement performance, savings realization, and category outcomes Promote data-driven decision making through procurement analytics and champion the adoption of digital procurement tools and technologies (e.g., Agentic AI) Drive procurement transformation initiatives and enhance category management processes and methodologies  across the organization Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  Bachelor’s degree in business , Supply Chain Management , Engineering , Finance , or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred 10+ years of procurement and category management experience (industry or consulting); 5+ years leading high-performing procurement teams Proven track record in strategic sourcing , category management ,  supplier relationship managemen t , and negotiations Experience in managing a significant indirect spend Experience operating in a global and matrixed organization Leadership Competencies : Strategic Thinking, Executive Presence, Change Leadership, Stakeholder Influence, Commercial Acumen, Data-Driven Decision Making, Talent Development, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Innovation Mindset and Results Orientation #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
