The Materials & Inventory Manager provides leadership and oversight for material management and inventory operations, ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely movement and control of materials throughout the facility. This role leads a team supporting inventory analysis, cycle counting, material coordination, and related material functions while driving inventory accuracy, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
The Materials & Inventory Manager position is responsible for maintaining inventory and storage location integrity, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring effective execution of dock-to-stock, put-away, replenishment, staging, material consumption, and backflush activities. The Materials & Inventory Manager partners closely with the Material Flow Manager and cross-functional teams to resolve inventory discrepancies, manage nonconforming and blocked materials, and support uninterrupted production operations.
A key focus of this role is strengthening inventory control processes and leveraging SAP/ERP capabilities to improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency. The Manager will lead the development and implementation of an enhanced cycle count program aligned with Finance requirements, with the goal of achieving sustainable inventory accuracy and reducing reliance on annual physical inventories.
The Materials & Inventory Manager also ensures compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, safety standards, and audit expectations while promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across material operations.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, schedule, and develop a team of Inventory Analysts, Cycle Counters, Business Analysts and Material Coordinators across all Material functions.
Maintain SLOC integrity and verify correct put away locations and transfers.
Own dock-to-stock SLA and ensure timely put away, replenishment, and staging requirements.
Partner with Material Flow Manager.
Own WM min/max levels.
Own material consumption and backflush processes.
Oversee discrepancy handling, NCRs, RTV transactions, and blocked stock.
Lead the redevelopment of the cycle count program to align with Finance requirements, enabling the elimination of yearly physical inventories.
Change cycle count process and implement in SAP.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and audit requirements.
Own and maintain material master data accuracy to support operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Logistics or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience equaling 10 plus years of materials, inventory, or warehouse experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5+ years in receiving/warehouse/material coordination required
3-5 years of people management experience required
3 years of STRONG SAP (WM) experience required
Knowledge of OSHA standards and lean manufacturing principles
Strong problem-solving skills including root cause analysis
Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze inventory discrepancies errors.
Ability to stand walk, and move thought out the facility for extended period of time
Ability to lift up to 50LBS occasionally and use of PPE when required
