What You’ll Do
As the Technical Product Owner / SAP Finance functional lead, you will be responsible to improve / enhance Finance solutions across RTR, PTP, General Ledger, Consolidations, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets. You will connect Finance and Technology providing seamless integration and reliable functionalities that are compliant and aligned with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
•Drive Finance systems roadmap and prioritize the backlog based on business value, controls, and enterprise standards.
•Partner with Finance, Technology, Architecture, and delivery teams to define requirements, user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and test plans.
•Lead planning, governance, testing, release readiness, and production deployment across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
•Guide the delivery of SAP enhancements, interfaces, reports, reconciliations, and lasting fixes for system, process, and data issues.
•Keep stakeholders informed of priorities, risks, dependencies, decisions, and delivery status.
Skills You’ll Need
Required Qualifications
•5+ years of SAP S/4 or ECC 6.0 FI/CO experience in support, enhancements, projects, and continuous improvement, including New GL or related Finance integration.
•Strong SAP Finance functional and configuration knowledge, with depth in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, or Fixed Assets and working knowledge of related FI/CO areas.
•General Ledger and close experience with financial reporting, profit centers, currency revaluation and translation, document splitting, non-leading ledgers, substitutions and validations, account determination, settlements, intercompany, and consolidations.
•Accounts Payable and PTP experience with FI-AP, MM-LIV, vendor master, payments, bank interfaces, EBS, tax, ERS, VMI, intercompany stock transfers, purchasing, goods receipts, and account determination.
•Fixed Assets experience with capital expenditures, asset classes, depreciation, CIP capitalization, settlements, asset transfers and lifecycle, legacy transfers, FA-GL reconciliation, and period or year-end close.
•Experience preparing functional specifications and delivering custom programs, reports, interfaces, or enhancements with technical teams.
•Experience with test planning, end-to-end testing, change control, and production deployment.
•Strong analytical, organization, and delivery skills, with the ability to manage priorities and drive work to closure independently.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with Finance, business, IT, and implementation partners.
Preferred Qualifications
•Knowledge of SAP S/4 MDG for GL, cost center, or vendor master data, and familiarity with Dynpro forms.
•Experience with BlackLine, SEM BCS, EC-CS, or other close, reconciliation, and consolidation tools.
•Experience with third-party applications such as Concur, Taulia, Fieldglass, Sovos, or Taxware.
•Experience with EDI, IDoc, ALE, BAPI, RFC, connectors, and BI/BO reporting.
•Cross-functional knowledge of SAP S/4 or ECC FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AA, Purchasing, AR, Project Systems, Internal Orders, or SAP HR and vendor master integration.
•Experience with full lifecycle implementations, ERP transformation, SAP upgrades, New Asset Accounting, or S/4HANA Finance.
•Knowledge of SAP security and access troubleshooting; ABAP debugging skills are a plus.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Projects, Powerpoint)
•Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field; SAP S/4 Finance certification is preferred.
