Marketing Content Manager
Department Overview: SILAC's Marketing team is helping shape the company's next chapter of growth. We bring together brand, product marketing, digital experiences and agent engagement to make it easier to understand and do business with SILAC. Job Overview: The Marketing Content Manager will own SILAC's content strategy and shape how the company communicates its products, expertise and point of view to advisors and clients.
This role will lead content across product marketing, advisor education, thought leadership, campaigns and Sales enablement, turning complex annuity and retirement topics into clear, compelling stories that strengthen advisor engagement and support business growth.
The role is accountable not only for creating content, but for determining what SILAC should be talking about, why it matters to advisors and how content can support business priorities.

Full Time or Part Time: Full-Time
Standard Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve SILAC's overall content strategy, messaging priorities and editorial direction.
- Establish a content roadmap aligned with business priorities, product launches, advisor needs and market opportunities.
- Lead product positioning, messaging and value propositions for priority products and initiatives.
- Translate complex annuity features and retirement concepts into clear, differentiated advisor and consumer value.
- Identify opportunities for educational content and thought leadership that give advisors useful reasons to engage with SILAC beyond product promotion.
- Develop product stories that clearly define the target audience, need, differentiation, advisor opportunity and reasons to believe.
- Lead content strategy for major product launches and integrated Marketing campaigns.
- Own the content approach across email, web, social, webinars, video, presentations and advisor communications.
- Develop and oversee Sales enablement including product stories, talking points, presentations, FAQs and comparison narratives.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product and Distribution to understand business needs and proactively identify content opportunities.
- Partner with the Brand Manager to bring SILAC stories to life through distinctive creative execution.
- Partner with Marketing Automation to translate content and campaign strategies into targeted programs, nurture journeys and audience experiences.
- Partner with UX/Digital Experience to ensure content supports intuitive and compelling digital experiences.
- Work closely with Compliance to balance effective storytelling with regulatory accuracy.
- Monitor the competitive environment, retirement marketplace and advisor needs to inform content priorities.
- Use engagement data, Sales feedback and business results to continually improve content strategy.
- Direct freelance writers, subject-matter experts or agency content resources as needed.
Job Requirements
Who you are:
Required
- 5–8 years of experience in content marketing, product marketing, financial-services marketing or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling ability.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple, compelling and accurate communications.
- Experience developing content strategy - not simply executing individual content assignments.
- Experience with product positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy and Sales enablement.
- Strong understanding of educational and thought-leadership content and how it can support engagement and business objectives.
- Commercially minded and able to partner credibly with Sales, Product and senior business leaders.
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment and partnering with Compliance.
- High bias to action; able to identify opportunities, develop a point of view and move work forward without waiting for a fully developed brief.
Desired
- Annuity industry experience strongly preferred; broader financial-services experience considered.
- Experience marketing to financial professionals, advisors or intermediary distribution strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred.
