Description
As a Senior Enterprise Cloud Systems Engineer, you will support and monitor enterprise cloud-hosted systems and applications built using COTS and custom solutions. You will support development and operations including requirements and acceptance criteria development, design and code development, testing, implementation and supporting and enhancing automated, scalable, and resilient systems running on Windows and/or Red Hat Linux Operating Systems. You will be responsible for the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and the overall health, reliability, and scalability of the platforms. You will provide documentation and support for systems to meet DOD security standards and ensure all environments are highly secure and available. You will support the process and documents to obtain and retain Authority-to-operate for the systems and applications.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience working in a Linux or Windows enterprise environment (DOD environment highly preferred).
- Extensive experience with development and deployments in the Cloud environment including setting up CI/CD pipelines, utilizing cloud native services, UX/UI modernization and Section 508 compliance, integration with centralized Authentication and Authorization platform and the ability to troubleshoot .NET, Java, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with system hardening and implementation of DISA
- Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced
- Capable of interpreting vulnerability reports and defining executable actions to reduce risks and address patch requirements.
- Experience in AppDynamics (APM/EUM), Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch for deploying agents, tracking logs is preferred.
- Experience with OpenText Content management and workflows is
- Experience to estimate capacity growth needs for applications and associated costs is
Typical Duties/Abilities:
- Monitor system performance and capacity using enterprise tools; Splunk experience is preferred for proactive issue resolution and logging.
- Design and manage automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure to support rapid, reliable software releases.
- Maintain system documentation and develop new documentation for automation workflows, recovery procedures, and operational best practices.
- Validating and implementing critical system patches and security updates through configuration management.
- Create, deploy, and administer file servers and shares for functionality in hybrid
- Assist with network troubleshooting and resolutions on LAN and WAN
- Assists with the scheduling, planning, and oversight of system upgrades and replacements for program assets.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential; must be able to effectively communicate with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup) and cross-functional teams.
- Strong track record of taking solution ownership and the ability to articulate design choices to bring about consensus.
Education/Certifications:
- BS degree in Information Technology or another related technical
