Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and maximizing value for Hitachi, Ltd. This role involves negotiation, drafting, execution, and administration of a wide range of agreements.
Job Responsibilities**
* Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and negotiation through execution, administration, and close-out.
* Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including sales agreements, procurement contracts, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as legal, sales, procurement, finance, and project management teams to understand business needs and ensure contracts accurately reflect agreed-upon terms and conditions.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, and develop strategies to protect Hitachi's interests.
* Ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions, legal obligations, and internal policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation within the company's contract management system.
* Develop and implement best practices for contract management processes and procedures.
* Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract-related matters.
* Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for optimization or renegotiation.
* Resolve contractual disputes and issues in a timely and effective manner.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CCCM) is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in contract management, preferably within a large, multinational corporation or a technology/industrial sector.
* Demonstrated expertise in contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk management.
* Strong understanding of various contract types and legal terminology.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex contractual terms clearly and concisely.
* Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
