Description

[What the role is]

Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities to enhance productivity, strengthen risk management and enable new forms of financial services. To support the responsible adoption of AI across the financial sector, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) works with financial institutions, AI firms, FinTechs, technology providers, academia and public-sector partners to develop the capabilities, partnerships and enabling frameworks needed to translate advances in AI into meaningful industry outcomes.

Within MAS, the Financial Infrastructure & Artificial Intelligence Office (FIA) leads initiatives that strengthen the foundations for AI innovation in financial services. This includes ecosystem development, strategic partnerships, data and digital infrastructure, industry capability building, and national-level initiatives that support the safe, trusted and effective use of AI across the financial sector.

[What you will be working on]

This role focuses on strengthening Singapore's financial AI ecosystem through strategic partnerships, industry engagement and ecosystem development initiatives. You will work closely with financial institutions, AI firms, FinTechs, technology providers, academia and public-sector partners to identify opportunities for collaboration, support the growth of AI capabilities in the financial sector, and help shape initiatives that enable the responsible adoption of AI in financial services. The role also involves engaging key ecosystem participants, building strategic partnerships, and contributing to efforts to attract and anchor leading AI and technology companies within Singapore's financial ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ecosystem Development: Develop strategies and initiatives that strengthen Singapore's financial AI ecosystem and support AI innovation in financial services

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and manage partnerships with financial institutions, AI firms, FinTechs, technology providers, academia and public-sector agencies

  • Industry Engagement: Engage ecosystem participants to identify opportunities, address industry challenges and drive collective action on AI adoption

  • Programme Management and Execution: Drive strategic initiatives from concept to implementation, coordinating stakeholders and delivering measurable industry outcomes

[What we are looking for]

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, business development within financial services, technology or public sector

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder partnerships and translate strategies into executable outcomes

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, industry developments and emerging AI business models, with the ability to assess their implications for financial services

  • Strong awareness of opportunities and challenges relating to AI adoption, including issues relating to governance, safety, trust and deployment

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments whilst managing multiple competing priorities and responding with agility to changing stakeholder needs and market developments

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders ranging from technical experts to C-suite executives

  • Strong writing skills, with experience preparing policy papers and presentations

  • Self-motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to deliver meaningful impact

You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.

This is a 3-year contract. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.

All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
