Within Private Wealth Management the Account Management Team (AMT) is responsible for the KYC life cycle processes such as client onboarding, trigger event and AML periodic review. AMT staff based in Hong Kong and Singapore cover PWM Asia and the staff based in Sydney and Melbourne cover WM Australia.
About the Role
This role will be responsible for identifying and implementing functional design changes to simplify and improve the client lifecycle management KYC processes and standards. This will include a front to back review of the account onboarding process and post onboarding process; providing solutions to streamline both processes and implement initiatives to improve production rates. This role will be based in Hong Kong but will cover both Asia and Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will have experience working at other private banks in Hong Kong/Singapore in a first line client lifecycle management leadership role and have experience in process optimization and/or design of client lifecycle management processes.
- Identify new account opening and post onboarding process improvements, synergies and enhancements and present recommendations
- Manage and undertake end-to-end project tasks including requirement analysis/documentation to implementation support
- Collaborate with stakeholders in PWM Asia and WM Australia on new account onboarding and post onboarding enhancements and implementation status
- Develop KPIs to measure current state and impact of enhancements on improving new account onboarding and post onboarding process
- Evaluate project performance post implementation and resolve any issues with stakeholders
- Maintain project plans and governance, including tracking and deliverables monitoring
Requirements
- Experience in process optimization and/or design
- 10 plus years of experience in client onboarding, client due diligence and/or related areas
- Has a good understanding of regulations related to KYC and EDD
- Management of operational and functional teams
- Strong project management, analytical and organizational skills
- Confident interacting with senior stakeholders, including experienced process owners and subject matter experts
- Experience in Agile development practice, Lean Methodology, Design Thinking or User Centered Design is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a solution focused mindset. Experimental and flexible
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education or experience
- 10+ years plus relevant working experience in the financial services industry
- Previous experience in KYC and client lifecycle management within a top-tier private bank
- Fluent in English
