Description
Position : Junior Network Engineer
Industry : Oil & Gas
Location : KL Office
Contract Duration : 2 years
Scope of Works:
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Manage and monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure high availability and security.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network incidents.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, standards, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Implement network improvements and enhancements to support scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and resolve network-related issues.
- Ensure network infrastructure complies with established security policies and standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT Operations, Network Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLAN, ACL, and NAT.
- Network Security and Firewalls.
- Fortinet and Cisco networking products.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support when required.
