About the Role
Dyson is seeking a strategic and people-focused Total Rewards Lead to drive the design, execution, and continuous evolution of our compensation, benefits, retirement, and recognition programs across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with future expansion into Latin America.
In this role, you will lead the regional Total Rewards function, developing programs and policies that attract, retain, motivate, and reward exceptional talent. You will partner closely with HR and business leaders to ensure our rewards strategy supports business growth, delivers competitive employee experience, and aligns with Dyson's global people strategy.
You will also oversee the delivery of employee-facing Total Rewards services, ensuring a high level of support, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Total Rewards Strategy & Program Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy aligned with business objectives and workforce needs.
Design, implement, and manage compensation, benefits, retirement, and incentive programs that support attraction, retention, and employee engagement.
Lead the annual compensation cycle, including salary review, bonus planning, market benchmarking, and incentive plan administration.
Partner with the Global Total Rewards team to ensure regional programs align with global principles while meeting local market requirements.
Provide expert guidance to HR and business leaders on compensation, benefits, pay equity, and market competitiveness.
Team Leadership & Service Delivery
Lead and develop a small team of Total Rewards leaders responsible for delivering both strategic and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous development.
Ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of employee inquiries and Total Rewards services across the region.
Governance, Compliance & Market Competitiveness
Maintain and enhance Total Rewards policies, guidelines, and documentation to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business needs.
Monitor market trends, economic factors, and emerging reward practices to keep Dyson's offerings competitive and relevant.
Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective program management and compliance.
Process Improvement & HR Technology
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, employee experience, and service delivery.
Serve as a key stakeholder for HR systems and technology projects, influencing process design and system optimization.
Leverage technology, automation, and best practices to improve Total Rewards operations and reporting.
Analytics & Business Partnership
Utilize workforce and rewards analytics to identify trends, provide insights, and support informed business decisions.
Develop metrics and dashboards that measure program effectiveness and support strategic workforce planning.
Build strong relationships with leaders across the organization, including senior executives, to influence decision-making and advance Total Rewards priorities.
About You:
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience, including compensation and benefits leadership.
3+ years of people leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
Deep knowledge of US compensation, benefits, retirement programs, and incentive plan design.
Experience supporting multi-country reward programs, preferably across North America and Mexico.
Skills & Capabilities
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and data management capabilities.
Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools; Tableau and Power BI experience preferred.
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
Exceptional project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Change-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
