Senior Program Coordinator, Culture, Belonging and Cultural Engagement

Pay Range

USD $25.00 - USD $25.75 /Hr.

Overview

The Program Coordinator supports the mission of the Center for Culture, Belonging & Global Engagement by advising and developing student organizations and creating opportunities that foster culture, identity, belonging, intercultural learning, and student engagement. The coordinator serves as a primary resource for cultural, identity-based, faith-based, international, and other affiliated student organizations and works closely with the Associate Director to develop programs, leadership opportunities, and collaborative initiatives that support a vibrant and inclusive campus community.

 

Responsibilities

● Advise and support student organizations affiliated with the Center, providing guidance on organizational development, recruitment, leadership transitions, succession planning, University policies, event planning, and organizational sustainability.● Develop student leadership opportunities through officer training, workshops, leadership development, and coaching designed to strengthen communication, collaboration, organizational effectiveness, and student leader success.● Coordinate student programming and engagement, including developing and maintaining a master calendar of Center and student organization events, cultural celebrations, educational programs, and other targeted engagement initiatives.● Support culture, identity, and belonging by working with organizations and student communities representing diverse cultures, identities, backgrounds, faiths, nationalities, and lived experiences.● Foster collaboration among student organizations and with academic and administrative departments, faculty, staff, and campus partners to develop cross-community programs and initiatives.● Assist with Center-wide programming and strategic initiatives, ensuring student organization engagement aligns with the goals and priorities of the Center and University.● Manage organization and program operations, including event logistics, organizational records, budgets, purchasing, communications, and other administrative processes.● Develop communication and outreach strategies to promote student organizations, programs, leadership opportunities, and Center initiatives through appropriate digital and campus communication channels.● Assess student organization and program effectiveness through participation data, student feedback, and other assessment methods; use findings to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen student engagement.● Identify emerging student needs and opportunities and communicate trends, concerns, and recommendations to the Assistant/Associate Director and Center leadership.● Participate in Center programs, committees, trainings, and special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree requiredPreferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree, Second Language

 

Experience:Minimal Experience: 1-3 years of para professional experience in student engagement / programmingPreferred Experience: Preferred 1-3 years of professional experience
