Responsibilities
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Talent Management and Training Specialist to support our Huntsville, AL location.
We are seeking a highly organized and mission-focused Talent Management and Training Specialist to support a government customer in Huntsville, AL. This position provides direct support to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel by coordinating personnel and training processes. The successful candidate will exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion in a fast-paced environment, while supporting the daily operations of a senior-level DoD office. This role requires excellent communication and technical skills, familiarity with government training and protocols, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
The Talent Management and Training Contractor will provide professional administrative, coordination, and analytical support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires Talent Management and Training program.
Duties:
The selected candidate will provide comprehensive support including:
- Manage and administer workforce training courses, workshops, seminars, leadership development programs, supervisory training, and professional development events, coordinating with Government training leads, instructors, subject matter experts, training providers, and participants to ensure successful execution.
- Develop and distribute training announcements, marketing materials, calendars, flyers, emails, and other communications and marketing products to promote training, career development, and professional development opportunities across the PAE Fires workforce.
- Process training applications and enrollment requests and maintain course rosters, waiting lists, cancellations, substitutions, attendance records, and other training, mentoring, developmental assignment, certification, and award records in Government-approved systems.
- Monitor Army and PAE Fires mandatory training, acquisition workforce certification, and continuous learning requirements, tracking completion rates, certification status, deadlines, and related taskings, suspense dates, and data calls; assist with ETMS2 taskings and training management requirements from Army, ASA(ALT), and other higher headquarters, including preparing responses and supporting documentation.
- Develop and maintain training metrics, dashboards, spreadsheets, reports, and briefings to give leadership visibility into workforce training participation, completion, compliance, effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and return on investment, and to communicate trends, accomplishments, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide administrative support for workforce developmental assignments, including opportunity announcements, applications, tracking, participant communications, and program metrics.
- Support the full lifecycle of training events, including preparing course materials, participant guides, presentations, sign-in sheets, name tents, and certificates; packaging, printing, and distributing materials; administering pre- and post-course surveys and registration; and providing on-site or virtual logistical support such as check-in, attendance tracking, and coordination with instructors.
- Review course evaluations and participant feedback and assist Government training leads with course modifications, continuous improvement initiatives, and updates to training materials, instructor scripts, facilitator guides, and learning objectives.
- Assist with administration of the PAE Fires mentoring program, including participant outreach, enrollment, mentor/mentee tracking, communications, surveys, and metrics, and support development of mentor/mentee matching recommendations based on compatible career and professional development goals.
- Develop and update recruiting and workforce outreach materials, presentations, talking points, brochures, and fact sheets for college graduates, interns, and prospective employees, and assist HR recruiters with career fairs, college recruiting events, professional conferences, and other outreach activities, including occasional travel.
- Assist with administration of Army, DoD, OSW, and other external recognition and award programs, tracking opportunities, nomination requirements, and suspense dates, and helping prepare, format, and quality-check nomination packages.
- Provide professional customer service to employees, supervisors, training leads, instructors, and other stakeholders; identify process improvement opportunities; support geographically dispersed training activities and travel as required; protect PII and sensitive Government information; and perform other related Talent Management, Training, Workforce Development, and HR program support duties within the scope of the contract as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years of related experience in either the education field, training field, or other Industry, Government related to Human Resources, and/or Training fields
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Demonstrated professionalism and discretion in handling personnel information and sensitive communications.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse military, civilian, and contractor teams.
- Must have a current driver's license.
- Travel: Less than 10% in the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have a Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this clearance level during employment.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Education is preferred.
- Some experience may be substituted if candidate has a higher-level degree in a related field.
Desired Skills:
- Optional certification in Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is a plus.
