Description
The Buying Coordinator supports purchasing activities for domestic and offshore products across AD Canada divisions. This role assists with purchase order processing, inventory monitoring, backorder management, supplier coordination, and resolution of order discrepancies. The Buying Coordinator also provides support for special quotes, supplier programs, and product identification while working closely with internal teams and supplier partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Buying:
- Assist with evaluating product needs, inventory levels, and order quantities for the distribution center and process purchase orders accordingly.
- Support with purchasing products from domestic and overseas suppliers and manage all requirements for order processing.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure maximum inventory turns as well as minimize the back-order levels.
- Evaluate and place container orders as appropriate.
- Assist with evaluating and processing special quote requests based on sourcing requirements, cost, and gross profit percentage for each opportunity.
- Review and modify private label blanket purchase orders.
Supplier Relationships:
- Maintain supplier documentation and assist with administrative activities related to supplier agreements and programs.
- Monitor inventory requirements, release orders, and redirect requests too large/complex to process internally.

Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of related experience; previous purchasing, supply chain customer service, or administrative experience is an asset but not required.
- Microsoft office – Excel (intermediate), Word (Basic), Outlook (intermediate)

- This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
- Travel: 10% of domestic travel with occasional trips outside of the country
