Job Description
As a Security Officer Medical Facility Control Access in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare-related facility, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and guests. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report concerns in alignment with Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture of teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities in a healthcare forensic environment.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals in accordance with site policies and confidentiality requirements.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence and protecting confidential information.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
